Jewellery Store Interior Design MICA | SAVVY

MICA is a contemporary jewellery house which specialises in custom made pieces. Its name derives from a group of minerals that are characterised by their malleability which makes them ideal for various uses – some which are purely aesthetic.
Expanding its most basic and primitive character, MICA's identity is based on the amorphic nature of the rocks, the asymmetry of their profiles and their unique existence – no two rocks are alike – making all of MICA's pieces truly unique.

The interior spaces are based on an extensive grid system, strongly influenced by the work of Sol Lewitt, particularly his "Variations of Incomplete Open Cubes". The displays, exclusively conceived and produced for MICA, offer an organic contrast against the more rigid backdrop of the space they are contained in.........more about the store interior design

Retail Interior Design | HITGallery store | Hong Kong | Interior Studio Novembre

The HITGallery stores capture the essence and spirit of Italy in wonderful new ways. Taking inspiration from the paintings of Giorgio De Chirico, from the surreal atmospheres he created through the distortion of perspectives, we developed open squares “Italian piazza mode” where we can meet and gather to fathom the enigmas of our existence and to ideally rethink Italy’s role and effective identity in the contemporary world.

Upon entering the concept store in Hong Kong, people will promptly notice the strong Italian imprint of the architectural design’s classical matrix: symmetrical structure, row of arches, one dominant hue offset by two tone flooring.

The color defining the walls “a neutral shade bordering between green and sky or cerulean blue” defies classification, so becoming the ideal backdrop for all the brands sold in the store.......more about the store interior design

Corporate Interior Design | JanSport Corporate Headquarters | San Leandro | California | Rapt Studio

Relocating from their Wisconsin home to the bay area, JanSport wished to retain a meaningful connection to their “rural” roots while supporting an aggressive expansion of their product offerings and a re-energizing of their corporate image. Rapt Studio’s task? To deliver a project that inspired its inhabitants, that reenergized the brand, and that came in within a tight budget and tighter schedule. The Rapt design team utilized a strategy guided by sustainable practices—a minimum of materials were actually brought onto the site and as much of the existing building was reused and exploited in order to accomplish the final result. This strategy included the polishing of existing concrete flooring wherever possible, the installation of ceilings only in areas with acoustic concerns, the utilization of salvaged wood products for the development of high-touch public spaces and the reuse of existing office construction wherever possible........more

Shoe Shop Interior Design | MOSTIP | Shiga | Japan | Eastern Design Office

Shoes are displayed on the big triangle. They are placed as if an invisible man is enjoying a moonwalk. An arrow tip shaped triangle is not floating, rather it is slightly touching on the ground with a tension as if it were to start moving.
One side of the entire wall is covered by a mirror, therefore the space seems enlarged twice, and the number of triangles may increase from two to three or four with the angle one looks into the space. Moreover, the big triangle will change its form into a diamond........more

Retail Interior Design | The Wonder Room | Selfridges | London | Klein Dytham

Selfridges is fast approaching its 100th year in business. When Henry Gordon Selfridge founded the first store on Oxford Street, his vision was to bring wonders from across the globe to amaze and excite his customers. Back then, Selfridges department store was a place where you could find things that could be seen nowhere else. For example, the first public demonstration of television was held on the first floor of Selfridges!

The Wonder Room project was a chance to reintroduce those elements of surprise and wonder to the Selfridges and create a department store for the 21st century. Inspired by the concept of Wunderkammer and Curiosity Cabinets, the Wonder Room is a luxury gifts emporium with the energy of a souk.

The Wonder Room occupies 1,800 sqm of London finest retail space on the ground floor of Selfridges’ Oxford Street store. The key element of KDa’s design is an elegant wall of fins running around the perimeter of the room, and between these fins float crisp display cases. The idea that brands would have a uniform facade that they would all adhere to seemed a clever idea. Each brand would have beautiful open views into their concession stores, but when seen obliquely, the fins become a screen behind which the brands disappear and the focus turns to the central area of the room.......more

Shop Interior Design | Buzzer Beater | New York | Slade Architecture

BUZZER BEATER is a high-end consignment store in New York’s Greenwich Village that specializes in rare sneakers and apparel. There is no back-inventory -- everything on display has its own unique history. We designed the store to reflect the nature of its eclectic and highly personal inventory.

The store’s closely populated space allows for an intimate experience for customers that blurs the distinction between employee and customer. Because the stores sales are made on consignment, buyers can become the sellers and sellers can become the buyers. Recognizing the importance of this interaction within Buzzer Beater’s community, we designed many of the store’s features to be equally as engaging......more

Shoe Shop Interior Design | Sneakerology | Sydney | Australia | Facet Studio

In each of the 200mm x 600mm boxes, one by one, sneakers are carefully collected. The boxes are repeated, and offset by half unit on each level, and carried through repeatedly over an entire wall. Something which has little meaning on its own, when repeated 281 times over, it creates a euphoric effect for one to experience a heightened emotion. The merchandises neatly displayed in the fashion similar to the museum artefacts; through touch panels centrally located within the shop, one can gain further understanding of the background stories of the merchandises. Although there is really no such field of study as “sneaker-ology”, by placing our design focus on ways to correctly understanding the merchandises, it is for us an attempt at capturing “sneakers” in a scholarly fashion. .......more
